Hi! My name is Jane Arey. I’m one of the clinical pharmacists for Wake Heart & Vascular. We have three clinical pharmacists that work within five offices. Your cardiologist can refer you to any one of our clinics.
We have two clinics that manage medications.
The first one’s called the Anticoagulation Clinic, more commonly known as the Coumadin Clinic. The second clinic is known as the Lipid Clinic, or the Cholesterol Clinic.
At either one of those clinics, the clinical pharmacist would see you by appointment, and would be happy to go over all your medicines, talk about side effects, adjust your medicines for better management of either your Coumadin, or your cholesterol, or both.
The thing people really love about the clinics is that we sit down with you one-on-one, and talk about your medications, and about what’s going, so you feel comfortable with your therapies.
